Vacant Lyrics
Artist(Band):Dream Theater
Review The Song (1)Print the Lyrics
Hey you, Hey you
I'm right here
Conscience fading
Can't get through

Oh Lord
Helpless
Confused
Head swayed
Eyes glazed
And mine teared

She's losing control
What can I do
The vacant eyes
Black holes
Am I losing you

I
Want to stay alive
Everything about this place just doesn't feel right.

I.
I don't want to die.
Suddenly I'm frightened for my life.

I.
Want to say goodbye.
This could be the last time you see me alive.

I.
I may not survive.
Knew it from the moment we arrived.

Tear up the photographs
But yesterday won’t let go
Every day every day every minute
Here comes the emptiness
Just can’t leave lonely alone
Every day every day hey hey
This second-chancin’s really getting me down
You give and takin’ everything I dreamed about
It’s time you let me know let me know just let go

All I ever wanted
all I ever wanted
was a simple way to get over you
all I ever wanted
all I ever wanted
was an in-between to escape this desperate scene
where every lie reveals the truth
baby cause I all ever wanted
all I ever wanted was you

I’d rather walk alone
Don’t wanna chase you around
Every day every day every minute I thought a thousand times
For I let you drag me down
Every day every day hey hey
Your new beginning was a perfect ending
But I keep feeling we’ve already been here before
It’s time you let me know let me know just let go

All I ever wanted
all I ever wanted
was a simple way to get over you
all I ever wanted
all I ever wanted
was an in-between to escape this desperate scene
where every lie reveals the truth
baby cause I all ever wanted
all I ever wanted was you

Tell me with so many out there
Why I always turn to you
Your goodbyes tear me down every time
And it’s so easy to see that the blame is on me

All I ever wanted
all I ever wanted
was a simple way to get over you
all I ever wanted
all I ever wanted
was an in-between to escape this desperate scene
where every lie reveals the truth
baby cause I all ever wanted
all I ever wanted was you

Don't buy Apple products or use I-tunes.  If you do, you are a communist.

In reality, I just want the airwaves back.

Yesterday, while watching football, I saw cheerleaders wearing sweatshirts/pants.  What's the point?  Now, I know they are supposed to lead the cheering (pun), but come on.  The only thing that they should be helping to pump up is my arm while I watch them.

Example:

win

Win.

Random Thoughts
Old white guys should not do the fist bump.

The only thing worse than Democrats....are Republicans.

For every ounce of hotness Tina Fey has, 30 Rock sucks.

Web based TV shows/movies are way better than regular TV [see:  Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog].

Any girl in a white dress shirt and black pants automatically jumps a point on the hotness scale.

Hockey season cannot start soon enough.

Goooooooooo Wings!

Hello, LiveJournal Land...
Have not updated in a while.  Time to change that.

Had an AWESOME time at the Joel and Jess wedding fiesta last weekend.  I'm not going to lie....I look effing hot in a tux.  The rehearsal was fun too because there a bunch of people wearing Red Wings jerseys.  And that cannot not be hot.  As usual, I made an idiot of myself out on the dance floor at the reception.  My favorite part was the song he played from the Fresh Prince  "Tonto, Jump on it.  Jump on it!"  Of course, Journey was sweet as well.  I'd like to say congrats to the AWESOME couple for being awesome and giving me an awesome night.  Awesome.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand if you missed the party even though you were invited and had plenty of time to show up because it was 5 miles from your house and you decided not to come because you being summoned elsewhere, then you are a douchebag.

I did other stuff too, but I don't remember much of it.  Coming up:  Metallica concerts, Dragonforce/Turisas concert, hockey, more hockey, even more hockey, probably other stuff.  GO WINGS!!!!!

I have lots to say, but for now, you get this...
This appeared as a moral dilemma, 'cause at first,
It was weird, though I swore to eliminate the worst,
Of the plague that devoured humanity, it's true,
I was vague on the "how," so how can it be that you
Have shown me the light?

It's a brand new day,
And the sun is high.
All the birds are singing,
That you're gonna die.
How I hesitated,
Now I wonder why!
It's a brand new day.

All the times that you beat me unconscious, I forgive.
All the crimes incomplete? Listen, honestly, I'll live.
Mr. Cool, Mr. Right, Mr. Know-it-all is through.
Now the future's so bright and I owe it all to you.
You showed me the light.

It's a brand new me,
I got no remorse.
Now the water's rising,
But I know the course.
I'm gonna shock the world,
Gonna show Bad Horse,
It's a brand new day.

And Penny will see the evil me,
Not a joke, not a dork, not a failure.
And she may cry, but her tears will dry,
When I hand her the keys,
To a shiny new Australia.

It's a brand new day,
Yeah, the sun is high,
All the angels sing,
Because you're gonna die.
Go ahead and laugh,
Yeah I'm a funny guy,
Tell everyone good-bye,
It's a brand new day.

Oh Canada!
Happy Birthday America!  For this occasion, I am going to do a very special entry on a topic very important to me:

Canadian Chicks!

Why
?  Because they are awesome!  Let's review (with some very innappropriate comments made by me along the way), in no particular order:

Ellen Page:

I know you've seen Juno.  I'd knock that baby right out of her.

Cobie Smulders:

From How I Met Your Mother.  I would go to her mall any day of the week.  And, I would most certainly put my sand in her castle.

Elisha Cuthbert:

Even when I eventually come out of the closet...I would hit that like she stole something.

Sarah Chalke
:

She could scrub me all night long.  Insert fantasy sequence here.  Rowdy optional.

Evangeline Lilly:

I would sell my soul and some chili cheese fries to get lost on her magical island.

Avril Lavigne:

As long as she isn't able to use her vocal chords (I have some ideas), it will be on until the brink of dawn.  OH yeah!

And there it is.  My entry of Canadian chicks.  Feel free to let me know of more and I will be more than happy to update the list...because that includes looking at pictures.  Win.

Canada...fuck yeah!

He's just the kind of man
You hear about
Who leaves his family
For an easy out
They never saw the signs
He never said a word
He couldn't take another day

Carry me to the shoreline
Bury me in the sand
Walk me across the water
And maybe you'll understand

Once the stone
You're crawling under
Is lifted off your shoulders
Once the cloud that's raining
Over you head disappears
The noise that you'll hear
Is the crashing down of hollow years

She's not the kind of girl
You hear about
She'll never want another
She'll never be without
She'll give you all the signs
She'll tell you everything
Then turn around and walk away

Carry me to the shoreline
Bury me in the sand
Walk me across the water
And maybe you'll understand

Once the stone
You're crawling under
Is lifted off your shoulders
Once the cloud that's raining
Over you head disappears
The noise that you'll hear
Is the crashing down of hollow years

Carry me to the shoreline
Bury me in the sand
Walk me across the water
And maybe you'll understand

Once the stone
You're crawling under
Is lifted off your shoulders
Once the cloud that's raining
Over you head disappears
The noise that you'll hear
Is the crashing down of hollow years
